Split face on both sides of a wall

I am trying to get a wall to be split glass/other material. Obviously this split would need to apply to both sides of the wall, however I cannot get the split face to work on the back side. Photos attached:

What about embedding and editing profile approach?

...not understanding why the split isn't cutting the depth of the wall though. How is the wall constructed?

It's just a generic 5" wall. Do you know how to go about embedding a profile?

I may just have to edit the profile and make two separate wall structures that make the face I'm looking for.

Just create Parts from the wall, divide the Part into two, and assign materials.

What parts? It's the 5" Generic Wall.

There's no reason that the split should not go through the wall. Frankly, that's a feature I could use.

,,,my suggestion to embed and edit profiles is fundamentally what your doing. But, you could go about it by placing 2 walls in the exact same spot (one a little shorter than the other), editing their profiles and joining them to get rid of the overlapping wall warning.

I was able to embed the two wall types and make it work! Thanks so much for the help!

Here is a 5" generic wall split to parts with different materials.

Got it, @ToanDN. Thanks, but that not what I was talking about. But, still, good information for the readers. Parts Are Powerful...just like my AU T-Shirt says. Smiley (zwinkernd)
