split a wall from exact location

Hi, Does anyone know how to split a wall from the exact location. For example, I want to split from a reference line. Thanks,

I don't.  I just split it approximately, disallow join one end , and grip stretch them to the correct location.

The problem is my walls are slightly of the axis and after an approximate cut, it is so difficult to align or trim.

What happens if you redo the reference line so that it is perpendicular to the off-axis wall?

It is more difficult but still entirely doable.  It is easier to use trim instead of grip edit (see screencast).  If you want to use grip edit, then hold SHIFT to keep the direction of the wall unchanged.
