Slab Edge Profile Family Not Updating

I made some adjustments to the profile I am using for a slab edge but the changes are not updating in the project after loading and overwriting the existing profile. What should I look for?

Did you change the name of the profile the slab edge is associated with? Make sure the profile assigned is the same one/type you intend.

I didn't change the profile name, and made sure I overwrote when loaded. I went ahead and recreated the floor edge and it came in correctly. However, the edge is 'existing' and when I changed the edge from 'New Construction Phase' to 'Existing Phase', it reverted back to the incorrect profile.

Check if you changed the type properties

That's not it. I tried it a 'test' project and it works fine under either New Construction or Existing Phases.

Look for overlapping lines in the Profile Family. 

...do a crossing-window selection and see how many lines are reported in the Filter Dialog Box. If it should be 10 and the Filter shows 11, then you have one line overlapping another.

Based on your other posts, that's probably not it.  I'll leave my reply though.  It's still a legit troubleshooting step.

There's the correct number of lines in the profile family. I'll keep checking into it. Thank you both

Please disregard my post. The error was on my end. I had the wrong thickness slab in the existing phase and the slab edge profile was correctly updating to the incorrect slab thickness. Thanks again for all your help and suggestions!
