Sketchup to Revit

Hello,

I have been working on my project on sketchup for a while now, and I have used many guides to import sketchup to revit; however, I want to know how do I give my drawn elements the label of door, window, wall, etc. From my floor plan, I wanted to show where there is a door. I had tried exploding it; however, I have over 10,000 elements. I am relatively new to Revit and have been watching videos to get a better understanding of the program.

The way I have fixed this once is importing the file piece by piece, so each import would be less than 10.000 elements and explode nicely. Hope this helps. However, it's better if you use layout for sketchup if you're into presenting 2D drawings of your sketchup model, which is good enough for the non-shop drawings case.

thank you, I will do that. I do need it for 3D representation;
however, having the floor plan representation would be nice.

 I still think using SketchUP Layout is a better idea in this case. 🙂 might wanna dig into that.
