I have created a topography and I keep trying to put an aerial view image of the site from google earth as  the material.  But whatever image i place on the site become inverted or mirrored when on the texture.

How are you applying the Material?  That is, what element is using it?

Hi

what happens when you rotate the material?

Are you sure it's being inverted and not just oriented to True North?

Just post the RVT along with the PNG and we'll test.

But for the life of me, I can't even get a PNG to invert no matter how hard I try.

Mirrored or inverted?  Two different things.

Just post your two files as I suggested above.  Otherwise, it's just a guessing game.

I think this happens because the topography is an irregular shape

try to edit that topo surface to make it rectangular.

then te scale have to be the same, this is only an example

As a test, apply the same material on a floor and see if it comes out correct.

Try rotating the image slightly 0.1 degree.
