Started with C3D 2017, cadastre drawing

Used the MAPCSASSIGN command to assign a customised coordinate system (the default Harte's force users to work upside-down)

Created an additional DWG for setting up the shared coordinate system in REVIT, same GEO coordinate system, this setup DWG only has a single grid position - with text to help with visual check

Still with Civil 3D, another DWG, same GEO coordinate system, this DWG only contains existing ground surface as a C3D TIN surface

add contour labels, now you see that the site is far above sea level (1600 meters plus)

Use Raise/Lower surface to get around the problem that is the reason for this post, levels set to be close to zero

Now to REVIT, new Project using the Construction Template, View set to Floor Plan, Site, Insert CAD Link to insert the SETUP DWG (contains only a single grid position) ... center to center

Use the inserted DWG to setup the shared coordinate system, Manage > Coordinates > Acquire Coordinates, select the setup DWG

Use Insert CAD Link to link to the cadastre DWG, this time using the established shared coordinate system

Use Site Designer > Import LANDXML to build a topo-surface, positiong by Survey Point to ensure correct location

All works ok, but I did not want to move the existing ground down by 1600 metres ... I wanted Level 1 to be at 1600 metres above sea level and import the correct LANDXML from Civil 3D ... how is that done? Thanks for your Patience... Kevin.

I just had a smelly brain fart... I think the best solution is...

Make an additional DWG in Civil 3D, for the lowered surface, data reference the actual NGL, start a new TIN surface, paste the real NGL into the new surface, lower the new surface by 1600 metres and ... use this new surface (and DWG) for sending topo data to the REVIT Project.
