My sink family has it own void. It cuts the countertop ok when imbedded.

Yet when the sink being turn off (as y/n parameter), the void still cutting the countertop.

Am I doing it wrong OR should I add a dimension parameter to control the void ? Thx

turning the sink visibility off doesn’t deny the fact that it is still there and it is still cutting the board even when you don’t see it.

there are several ways you can solve this:

  1. One option: Make the void parametric (ie: depth increase to cut, decrease to uncut. You can link that to the visibility parameter too so that when it is switched off the depth automatically decrease)
  2. Another option use nested family with the face based void in it. And create two types. First with the void cutting the host and the second type with the void not cutting the host. Load into the host family of the counter and associate with a family type parameter
