Signage Schedule and Signage Plan

Good Morning,

Would like to create a signage plan and schedule similar to the attached (not our work). Would like to include make it as intelligent/parametric as possible. In the past we have done it all with annotation and using a room schedule. Should we be modeling the sign as a component and tagging the component? Any input would be helpful

Thanks,

Jason

Model the Signs as a Room-Aware Loadable Families (e.g. activate Room Calculation Point).

I use two generic model sign families:
- a room aware family for room specific signs so that when you place a sign outside of a room, it read the room information such as name and number
- a non-room aware family for wayfinding /exit / warning/ info signs

I would not recommend wall hosting family as signs are often mounted on other types of surface such as door, column, etc... Mine are face based family so that they can be placed on any surface or workplane.
