Hi,

Open a 3D view>hit the little down arrow on the view cube>orient to view>Plans>(use desired plan)>adjust the view to appropriate angle(as it will appear in plan; though actually 3D and cut at the plan view's cut plane)>Save View as another name: rinse, repeat...repeat..hope it helps, thanks

Level datums are not able to be made visible in a 3d view.

In Project Vasari, you could display Levels in 3D, as in the Conceptual Massing Environment in Revit.

Perhaps you could use Masses for the presentation and have the Levels show in 3D?

Please post an example of what you are trying to do--and/or give us a little better/more information.

You have two options. You can simply model a floor (one that is like 5mm thick) to represent a level plane and make it transparent or you can create some kind of line based family to do the same thing. It cannot be done by default but both the options above work fairly easy 🙂

Hope this helps 🙂

In the Massing Tools, you can display Levels in a 3D View.

See attached.

try to use Mass Floors :

  • create first a Mass Element that envelopes the building , then create Mass Floors and finally Hide the Mass Element..Mass Floors being conected with Levels they will move with them, when changing Level heights...

Question for the original poster--please clarify:

Are you wanting to show the Level Annotations? or the actual Levels ( like floors that are colored, as shown in the post above?)

Good solution, IF that is what the question was.....

I was trying to find out if the OP meant Level Annotations showing in 3d views, like in the Massing environment.

I understand what you say ......maybe a workaround could be possible if  we export the 3d volume as .dwg and then import (without to open it in AutoCAD) it back into Mass editor....

Yes--this is a workaround but it can work.

I put "Levels in 3D Views" on the Revitforum.org Revit Wishlist some time ago.

Seems like if it works in Massing Environment the Factory could also make it available in "normal" Revit 3D Views as well.......

Congrats, Autodesk has added this feature in Revit 2019. Although you can do that in previous versions by using dynamo as described in video below:
