Show only visible walls below second floor

Hello all,

I'm trying to create a second floor view that shows the walls below but only the ones visible from the second floor. In other words, the second floor is only a partial floor so I want the walls for the garage and other main floor walls to be visible that aren't directly under the second floor. I also have the second floor system hidden because I keep accidentally selecting it while I'm working. I have the view range set to show the lower floor but all of the walls under the second floor area are showing as well. Is there a way to hide all items under the floor system without individually selecting and hiding them?

Option 1:  Create actual floor slabs where occurs on the second floor.  Lower the View Range bottom and View Depth to include the level below.  The view will show the elements from the level below that are not covered by the floor slab.

Option 2:  Create Plan Regions for the Areas you want to show the level below and set their View Range and View depth to include the level below.  No need to change the View Range for the second level view.

Make sure you are in Hidden Line mode.

Unhide your floor, and turn off the Select by Face option near the lower right hand corner of your screen, so that you won't keep accidentally selecting it. Or turn off the Drag Elements on Selection option there, so that if you do select the floor on accident, at least you won't drag it out of place on accident.

Set the Depth of your view range down low enough to pick up the walls below. Set the Bottom down as well, if you want solid lines instead of beyond lines.

There now...you can see the walls below, but not the ones under the floor because the floor is in the way of seeing them.
