Show Files as Hidden Line

I have several file cabinets that are under a work surface.

How can I make these files show up with a hidden line type while not affecting the other files I have in the plan that are not under a work surface?

I have taken the cut plane lower to allow me to see the files but they still show up as a solid.

Any help would be great.

I tried this. It didn't work.
The only way I could make it work was opening the family and saving it as another family name. Using symbolic Lines (Hidden Line Type)
Changing the Visibility Settings to show up in the plan.
Loading the new family into the project
Now I was able to see the file cabinet with a dashed line.

Seems like there should be an easier way !!!

Why can't you simply select the families and override them within the views?
