Sheet List issues

Another problem -

When a Sheet List was generated for a project, it did not pull in sheets from linked files. The checkbox to pull in elements from linked files is checked. How can I fix this?

I'd try making a new Sheet List from scratch.  That way you aren't dealing with any strange baggage in the other one.  That can also help you troubleshoot the issues.

Another quick thing to check, don't forget that schedules are views too.  Confirm the VG settings by clicking the Edit button and making sure the checkbox for that linked file is checked.

Thanks Jason! Learned something new. Of course, in my case it was the most obvious thing that had gone wrong - the project I was troubleshooting did not have anything linked to it! ROFL!

Moral of the story - never assume that all has been done right. Even the obvious.

You said the project did not have anything linked to it. So, obviously you could not see any sheets from linked models.

However, something else that can cause sheets to be missing from a schedule, even if the link is loaded and visible, is that the sheets in the linked model are intentionally set to not appear in a list of sheets, using the "Appears in sheet list" parameter.

While it's a possibility, I found it unlikely that someone created sheets and excluded them all from sheet list.

@ToanDN

It was a case of files not being linked to the arch model. Small Project. User error.  Something you do not expect to see from an experienced user. I needed a second pair of eyes to catch what I had taken for granted was already done.Go figure. I was as flummoxed as you. Moral of the story - Trust No One.
