Shared Parameter file per project

It would be great if the Shared Parameter file linked in Revit is project specific. Now if you choose a file for another project and open a new one it still links to the same file. This could cause issues and cluttering when making new Shared Parameters in that same file that don't belong to that project.

You need to have good parameter management and only create one shared parameter per need. I have a spreadsheet to track my shared parameters and avoid creating duplicates (i.e. a second shared parameter for a voltage).

Since you can't edit shared parameters, you need to have a plan before creating them. And even if they have the same name, each parameter has its own GUID. i don't know how using multiple txt files would not end in confusion and disaster. The same families and schedules with the same shared parameters will be in multiple projects.

I understand your proposition, but this doesn't work for a large scale company where not all projects can be managed by one person. Therefore I have created a tool that will automatically create and apply a Shared Parameter file per project, but noticed that in Revit, the directory always points to the last chosen file and it is not file/project specific which it should be to avoid adding parameter or even overwriting the template file.
