Shared Parameter cannont be added with name

We run into this issue often, using families from various vendors.  "The shared parameter cannot be added with name and type because it conflicts with the existing name and type. "

Searching the forums and Autodesk help, I have not found a sure method to resolve this.  Can someone point me to some documentation or help file that explains in detail how share parameters are done in Revit.  We are not able to locate the below listed parameters in the family or the project file to delete them...

Thank you

You've got 2 different shared parameters sharing the same GUID.  Happens sometimes.  You got to reconcile the conflict by replacing the shared parameters in the family.

...you're not able to identify which family? The error is being throw upon loading the family, isn't it?

How would you go about tracking down the parameters?

Should be easy. The error is happening because you are attempting to load the family and Revit isn't allowing it.  Just abort the load and modify the family.

Thanks, I was able to find the parameters.  Tried to rename them, but that did not work.  Ended up deleting them, and then was able to use the family.

Took me weeks of searching but have finally found solution......

See link below:

..interesting stuff - never aware of all these hidden items that Revit doesn't purge out even though you think you did....

Where do you find the parameters within the edit family page?

This seems ridiculous and unnecessary but it works.
