Shared Co-ordinates question

Hi All,

I'm having some problems with shared co-ordinates on a project we're involved with.

I have 3 Revit models, Ours (structural engineers), the Architect's and the MEP consultant's

As the Architect is the lead consultant we aquired co-ordinates from their model when we started ours, apparently the MEP firm did the same.

If I open the Architect model and link in our one it comes in the right place. If I link in the MEP to the Architects model it comes in the right place.

In our model if I link in the MEP model it doesn't align with ours. As a work around I can link the MEP into the Architects as an attachment and pull it through that way, but does any one know why they're not aligning if we've both aquired our coordinates from the Architectural model?

Thanks.

You you using named sites or the default Internal. I wondering if the MEP is just being placed at the wrong named site.

Since your model and the architect's model already align, you only need to highlight it in your model and acquire coordinates.  Then, link the MEP model in and choose Shared Coordinates instead of Origin to Origin.
