I am trying to find a simple step by step account of how to set up a group of students to use the Collaboration option within Revit so their Revit LAN model can become a WAN Revit model with the same level of synchronisation between the model pieces. (7 students, 1 using 3DS Max for climate based daylight analysis, one exporting EnergyPlus models, one using simulation CFD, one setting up FM software, one in charge of phasing the project, one in charge of communication planning -pre-determined sections, customised for the planned report, 1 BIM a manager).

I can find places to sign up for the collaboration tool which require my credit card.

I can find info about the process. But not a simple guide to setup for the university's technicians or for the students (or me for that matter!)

I apologise if this appears more than once in different places.

I received an error each and every time I tried to post from my iPad.

Sorry you're having challenges getting up and running.  The first result of a Google search for "Collaboration for revit getting started" gets you in the right place.  You can even use the fancy flow diagram I put together if you want.

Glad to answer speciifc questions once you've reviewed the available information.
