I'm missing the entire Ribbon as well as the menu so I can't do anything and I just wasted one day of my life trying to find out how to get it back. I'll appreciate if anyone can help, thanks.

you can try to Reset the Revit User Interface by deleting the UIState.dat file in the location below:

%APPDATA%\Autodesk\Revit\ <Revit Version> 2015

Thanks for trying, but I'm not that good in finding %APPDATA%\Autodesk\Revit\ <Revit Version> 2015 .

I tried find in Start and was not there the UIState.dat does not show either.

I looked in C, Program Files, Autodesk, Revit 2015 but before going into every folder, can you please let me know if it is there? Thank you again.

I changed the settings to show hidden files, but I don't seem to find that file. can you please kindly check the attached and let me know if I am closer? There are many AppData folders at several levels, I found one that has Revit 2015, but the UIState file is not there.

I found a UIState file which is a movie, I deleted it, i restarted the whole computer, but no luck. It must be something else., or please check if that is the file that I was intending to delete.

I spoke with ncespedes on a related support case, and the issue was cleared by going through the steps in the article How to reset position of Properties palette and Project Browser in Revit.
