Serial number not valid (student)

I'm getting this notify when i try to activate my student license in revit 2016: "The serial number you entered is not valid. Try again. (1)"

in my account management it says i have 2 seats, one for revit 2015 and one for revit 2016

I have previously used 2015 and it has worked fine, now i installed 2016 version and used those serial number and product keys provided for that version (2016), but the serial numBER seems to be wrong, what to do ?

Most of the issues I have found is that the product key does not match the software installed. Verify that the product key is for Revit 2016 here (https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/installation-activation-licensing/get-ready/find-ser... More than likely the product key is for Building Design Suite Ultimate, but if it is something else, such as Revit Architecture 2016, you will need to download Revit Architecture 2016 using the Virtual Agent https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/software-downloads/previous-versi...

I had the similar problem, i downloaded revit architecutre 2016 with vitual agent

But the serial number id for revit 2016 could you please tell me where i could find a serial code for revit architecture 2016 Thanks!

@Anonymous  If you have the serial number for Revit 2016, you have to download Revit 2016.   The Education versions are One Box only, so the only way to get a serial number for Architecture 2016 is to get a subscription to Revit 2017 and request a license to Revit Architecture 2016.

Really though, I would just get Revit 2016...the individual versions are lacking in some areas.
