Scheduling Wall Assemblies

Hello,

I'm trying to setup a wall assembly schedule for the office that reports element and assembly R-values. We want to able to apply R-values from the building code to materials in our wall assemblies so we can streamline our energy efficiency calculations for our drawings. I've been able to create shared parameters to report a wall assembly after dividing the elements into parts. I set the parameters as text, type parameters. They schedule and I can group the materials together by their wall assembly but I still have to type in R-values manually and it won't total my values. How do I need to set up my parameters, materials and schedules?

Add an R-value parameter (number, not text) to your Material take-off schedule to enter the value for different materials.  You cannot total that column for some reason but not to worry, add a Calculated value to reference the original R-value and you can total them.

p/s: the R values shown below are totally made up
