Scheduling items modeled as extrusions?!?

Hello everyone!  So I received a Revit file to create a schedule of materials (a takeoff)... but the glass and mullions are modeled as Extrusions in the Curtain Panel Families. 

Is there a way to schedule these???

...what version of Revit?

...wait a minute. You mean the Panel Family contains the Mullions; right? Isn't there a separate Material Parameter for the Panel and the Mullion?   

If so, a Curtain Panel MTO.

I'm using Revit 2023

They used Extrusions instead of Mullion Families within the Curtain Panel family

Find the Named Material Parameter associated with this element and change its Value from <By Category> to some Material in the Material Library.  Or, in Project, under Object Styles, assign a Project Material to the Curtain Panel Category.

Change "MULLION MATERIAL" Value from <By Category> to some Material in the Material Library.  Or -  in Project, under Object Styles, assign a Project Material to the Curtain Panel Category.  

NOTE: Element may be using a Subcategory under the Curtain Panel Parent Category.  Check to see.  Know how to do that?

Not 100% sure I'm doing this correctly.. But I when changed just the mullion extrusion material it's still showing up on the schedule with 'Width' and 'Height' of the whole Mullion Family vs the actual mullion extrusion.

"Length" and "Height" are not Material Parameters, so without looking at the actual RVT File, I'm not certain where those Parameter are coming from. Probably Shared Parameters in the Family or Project Parameters.  But besides that, you are doing a MATERIAL TAKE-OFF, so the Parameters you are concerned about are those that start with "Material:" (e.g. "Material: Area", "Material: Volume").

sorry for the confusion "Material Takeoff" is an industry term.  I'm trying to generate a "Schedule" in Revit for the mullions and glass. This is super simple when Mullions are actual "Mullion Families" and the glass infills are "Curtain Panels". Is this possible to generate a schedule (with width & height and/or Length) when elements are modeled as "Extrusion"

Best you can do with is Panel is schedule the Area and Volume of the Materials used for the Mullions and Panels.

Even when I try to identify the Area of each material it still only pulls the Family dimensions?

Use a MATERIAL SCHEDULE with the "Material: Area" Parameter and "Material: Volume" Parameter.

I hear you - the Material Takeoff has the correct fields but it is only pulling the overall families area and volume.
