1st question is why the stripe schedule not working and when I click nothing change

2nd question is I wanted to add image to schedule so I edit my furniture family and added shared parameter for image also in project and I put images for every type. The issue is when I bring to my project the picture not showing is and it give <none> how can I add I pictures for the type?

Stripe Rows you mean? this has no effect or better say it is overridden by formatting...if you have any sort of formatting added to the schedule then the Stipe Rows feature won't work.

For the images...from what you described they should show!

Unless...It might be that you already had  instances of that family/types already placed in the project before you added the shared parameters...in this case try to load them and use Overwrite Parameters this way the ones in the project will have their shared parameter of the image updated.

Alternative option to the family shared paras, you can always schedule furniture and use the OOTB Image parameter there ans set directly in the schedule.

Do you have several Family Types defined in your Family. The Type Image address needs to be inputted for each Type.

What I am doing is a schedule for yesterday furniture which I moved but schedule is for client to pick which items for final design. It is like there is 3 type of each benck and 3 of every waste buckets and so on. They want to see on schedule and pick there and see picture but I do not know how best and I am mixing up a I think.

To late at night and I think I should stop working sleep and recharge

You can do that several ways:

  • since you already set an image for each type, simply use the scheduled OOTB Type parameter for them to select from. Not too fancy and works to select a type/option and display its image. But if you have for example 1 chair from Poltrona Frau and one Herman Miller 2 different geometries ie: different family this will not work.

  • You can also work with one Type per item and set 3 Images in the same type then control which to display using a combination of Yes/No + IF formulas ….ie: if your client ticks the check box titled RED the RED Chair image will be displayed. However, this has limitation of a max of 3 options - 1 default and 2 variables (IF cannot handle more than 3 auto switches).

  • You can also work with nesting up to as many chairs as you need into one family and assign them to a Lable/Shared Parameter <Family Type>...this way your clients will have an infinit number of options listed under a drop down menu in the schedule which they can pick from (neat and doesn't require yes/no or formulas) … I think this would work best if you have several completely items with different geometries/families and you want the schedule to serve as a selector and automatically switch the family in the model.
