Schedule properties - Filter not allowing options

Dear Autodesk community,

I'm a fairly new Revit user, working in version 2016. To calculate my exterior wall area for energy code compliance, I have created a wall schedule using Schedule / Quatities. I've picked Function, Area, Family, and Type as the fields and I'd like to filter out the curtain walls separate from the solid walls. The Filter tab gives me only Funtion and Area as "Filter by" options. Why is this? I need to filter by Type (i.e. Brick wall, curtain wall, etc.)

Yeah I agree we should be able to filter by Type and/or Family.  For the time being, you need to use another Type Parameter to filter.  Example below using Type Comment criteria (I manually type in Curtain Wall for the Curtain Wall types) but you can use almost anything else, for energy schedule I would even use some Energy related parameter, e.g. Heat Transfer Coeff, Thermal mass, Thermall Resistance.
