Point coordinates from a family

Hi,

I'm pretty new to creating families in Revit and I have a question. The project I'm working on has these panels all around the facade that were made as a family. What I'd like to do is add points to the 4 corners of these panels (within the family) so that I can easily access(and export) the x,y,z coordinates of the corner of each panel. Would this be possible?  Thanks!

I'm not sure if there's an easier way to do this but I know for sure that its possible with the aid of an Add-In/Plugins

Idiate BIMLink is one...it uses a custom family that acts like a point node. You can place this family either at the specific locations within the project OR you can nest it within a family (in your case the four corners of the panel), then you use Ideate BIMLink to report only on the coordinates of those 'nodes' and creat schedule accordingly

There is also XYZ Coordinate (available Autodesk Appstore). I haven't tried it but this app/addin is said to be able to add a shared parameter to the Structural Elements category families and transfer those coordinates to the shared parameter which eventully can then be scheduled. Not sure if you can customize it to work with non-structural families

I'm prety sure there are a lot more apps out there which can do this... try Autodesk Appstore  <<------
