Revit scales text based on the scale of the view. You can Google "Drafting Text Scale" for a examples and full lists of the text scale factors used for each drawing scale.

When you set up a text style, you set the final paper-space size of text you want to see, regardless of the scale of the drawing.

Standard text is typically 3/32" or 2mm and no matter what the scale of your view, your text will be this size when plotted. Saves a lot of work from the traditional CAD workflow, trying to figure out each text size in each drawing scale.

If you plot a large size drawing onto a smaller sheet for something like a half-size checkset, the text *could* be unreadable/too small, but there isn't much you can do about that.

Depends on your local drafting standards and permitting jurisdictions. Ours specifically required the text is not less than 1/10" so our text size in Revit is 7/64.

How far away from the drawing will the reader be?
