Save to new file 3D Sheet- Error: Can't copy this selection to a non-story Level

Hi, I'm trying to give a contractor a copy of the 3D Revit model only.

So I made the 3D view, placed it on a sheet and then right clicked the sheet in the PB to "save to new file" and get the error message "Can't copy this selection to a non-story Level." then cancel is the only option, click that and get another error message "Unable to paste current clipboard contents to file." again cancel is the only option.

Any help would be much appreciated please!

Do you have phases and need to retain the phasing information in the transmittal model?

Nope, no phasing, no need to retain any information apart from allowing them to see the 3D model.

Then link the file into a new blank file, bind, and send that file to them.

Hei, I just ran into this issue and figured out the fix!

I also tried creating a new file and received the error above. I had a level that did not have a plan referencing to it. Once I created a plan for this level, I tried creating the new file and it worked! 🙂

Kind Regards,

Lucas
