RVT23 Ifc Export Problem(Slab, Site)

Dear Group

I have a problem since long time, that IfcSlab and IfcSite will not exported from my modell.

I set the export settigs, I adjusted Floors to  IfcSlab, and my Topografie to IfcSite. But if I export my Flor and Topo, it will be not in my IFC. Thats mean for me, the Export in IFC "By Categorie" doesnt work in the case of Slabs and Topos.

If I set the "Export in IFC" to "yes", it will be es

exported. But I have to set it for all of the slabs... And I dont understand why by categorie doesnt work.

This problem is only if I work with my laptop. With my desktop pc, it works with the same settings. (Asus TUF A15)

Another Question is, I have a Linked Topografie in the Modell. But It will be not Exported, and it do not have the Parameters I want  (IfcDescription). But I can parametrise the under regions of a topografie, but in case I got always IfcBuildingProxy and not IfcSite...

I would be very happy, if you could help me.

Thank you in advance.

Andras

Hi András!

We also have your issue for years, and also opened a related ticket on github for the team developing the ifc exporter: https://github.com/Autodesk/revit-ifc/issues/759 Since you seem to be also hungarian, we have a really strong intuition that it might be caused by the localization, language of Windows under Revit. Can you confirm that your Windows locale is also hungarian?

Hi @andras.horvathEHM2D,

Have you set/edited the IFC Export classes correctly? Revit File > Export > Options > IFC options.

What does it say under floors? (Revit 2022, should be

This is a User setting and not a document setting, so the same model can export differently on another pc.

IfcSite can't be exported as such in Revit, Revit can't export all types available in the IFC structure, at least not in IFC 2x3, so Site object will always export to IfcBuildingProxy.

Here's a link to the supported IFC Classes: Supported IFC Classes , IfcSite is mentioned, but never worked for me so far.

Ps. In Revit 2023 there's also a setting in the IFC export dialog under "Advanced", below the tabpage there's a button "Entities to export", here IFC classes can be exluded from export...
