Hi Everyone,
I am working on a master planning project where we have many linked Revit files in a host file and I would like to control the visibility graphics of each linked file through the Host file's views. I will be controlling Revit Links Display Settings as follows (and yes, all linked files have a floor plan named "100 Level Existing"):
The question is: can I apply these Display Settings to multiple Revit Links?
I haven't been able to read about this issue anywhere in the forums, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Off course you can use that as long as all the Revit link has the Floor Plan named 100 Level Existing.
But for me I would used View template with same setting as the Floor plan 100 Level Existing because I hate the repeated process in customizing all the Revit link visibility graphics.
Sorry if that wasn't clear.
Yes, the issue is applying these settings to hundreds of links. Is there a way to automate the process of making three settings changes and applying those changes to hundreds of files?
Thanks!
I don't think so. The settings for each link are unique and independent.
You might be able to do something within the linked files by setting up a view with the appropriate settings and then creating a view template to apply to the other files and then use the settings from the linked files.
Thanks for the suggestion RobDraw. That's actually exactly I how I get the linked files set up. I tried to put in place as much standardization as possible.
I think I'll just do this the old fashioned way and manually make the changes. C'est la vie.
Thanks all!
