RPC plantings not showing up in realistic 3D views

Hi,

I am using Revit 2015 LT and all the sudden (after installing Revit 2018 - which I later uninstalled) my plantings are not showing up in realistic 3D views. They do show up in the plan views and if I override the visibility graphics and make them transparent, I can see outlines of them in the 3D view. I have searched the forum and nothing seems to be working. I uninstalled all versions of Revit and their libraries and reinstalled 2015 and still the same issue. I installed Archvision dashboard and ran/installed the plug-in. Still nothing. I checked the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Materials\2015\assetlibrary_base.fbm\RPCs path and the .rpc files are all there....but still nothing showing in the 3D realistic view.  When I try to edit the RPC planting family and click on the render appearance to try and select the correct image, the render appearance library window is blank. I checked windows programs and all libraries are installed (medium, low, etc). What do I need to do??

Sounds like a mapping issue. Go to Rendering Tab under Options, and enter Additional Render Appearance Paths.

Also, see this link: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles...

The link you attached are all things I already tried, none of which worked - the library is empty so I can't do the first steps in the link. As mentioned, I already did the last step in that link with Archvision dashboard and still not working.

In your initial suggestion, you say to add a Render Appearance Path. I did this, but want to confirm - what path am I adding? The one I mentioned: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Materials\2015\assetlibrary_base.fbm\RPCs ? I just did this as suggested and still not working.

Your path looks correct. Is that what you are showing in your screenshot? If so, the folder is there, but no content. Strange. I'm curious to know if anything was behind when you uninstalled 2018. Is there a folder with content at C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Materials\2018\assetlibrary_base.fbm\RPCs on your computer?

Yes, that's what I was showing in my screen shot. And yes, looks like the 2018 folder is still there even after I uninstalled...should I delete it?

This is what I would do....a complete clean uninstall/reinstall of the Revit products. Sorry. I'm cringing too. But, better safe than sorry.

...perhaps @Viveka_CD will weigh in a second opinion here.

I guess fourth time's a charm. I did a manual uninstall, deleteing all the folders from my C: drive that didn't get removed with the software uninstall. Re-installed everything, ran the archvision dashboard again, added the second rendering path, and restarted my computer again. It's working now...<shrugs>...I'll take it.

So you did, or did not, do a "clean" uninstall/reinstall per the instructions I posted?

I did not mess with the registries as instructed in the clean uninstall. I did do the first steps of it though.
