Rotate Generic Model Assembly

Hello

I have attached a 2016 RVT with a single generic assembly enclosed.  How can I rotate the assembly by 90 degrees in the view shown when the file is first opened?  I would like to be able to rotate the assembly without disassembling it.

Thanks

Assuming that you want your family/families workplane based.

All the families, that are part of the assembly, you have to make sure that always vertical is turned off.

When you insert the components in the project you have to place them on an appropriate workplane.

If you place them on a level you can not rotate them. Because if the families are workplane based, you have to rotate the workplane.

Depending on the use you also could decide to make it face based.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
