Rotate displacement set axis

Hi all, is there any means to rotate the displacement z-axis for displacement sets? It appears the orientation of the axis is set by the Project North which is fine for rectangular type buildings but not so much for any form where you need to create a displaced view for non-orthogonal objects. Anyone come across this as an issue before?

Not sure I understand. You can move the displaced element diagonally as well.  Is this what you mean?

...or maybe you are talking about the path? Path can be straight or jogged.

Hi, I realize we can displace in any number of combined x,y or z planes. It seems some of the 'solutions' to this in ToanDN's post have suggestions that, with a bit of fiddling, overcome the limitations around not being able to set the axis orthogonal in relation to the objects. Solution 7 of 8 gets the desired result, just adds in a few extra steps along the way. Maybe one for the suggestion bin?
