room tags

Hey everyone so I am trying to place some room tags in my project but for some reason it starts to number them at 11. Then if I go to change the number it says "elements have duplicate 'Number' values". When I go to my room schedule it shows a whole mess of numbers with duplicates. Is there anyway to delete all the rooms/room numbers and start from none? I am trying to get it so that it will start labeling them starting with the number 1. I already have the rooms labeled with text and there is not too many rooms so I don't mind deleting everything it thinks I have and starting over. I go to architecture, room and area, room to place my rooms correct? Thanks

In the schedule you can just go through the list and assign the correct numbers to each room. Then for each new room it will start offering you the next logical number. In the future, when you know what sequence you want to use, place one room, change the number and each subsequent room you place will start where you left off.

You can also download a room numbering app from the Autodesk Exchange App Store to help revise them.

If you want to remove rooms (it sounds like you have tried to delete rooms from the plan) you can do it from the room schedule. Select the room from the room schedule and then click on "Delete Row" from the ribbon. This is the only way to remove a room from the project, deleting it from the plan view does not remove it from the project.

And like Steve mentioned above. Place one room, renumber it to what you want to start with, then the rest of your new rooms will follow in sequence

Hope this helps
