Hi, I have a similar issue from a client and want to make sure I am answering them correctly. Their issue is that they have a linked Revit file (in Revit 2021), and the client wants to add room tags to the rooms in the linked file. I should note that the file they gave me does not seem to be linked (as the save to central symbol is not highlighted - but greyed out - making me think they detached from central). They want to add Room tags in the linked Architectural Model but in the furniture schedule the tags are NOT appearing. Is there a way to fix this?
The sync icon being grayed out implies only that the Model you have in-hand is not workshared. There are no issues in using non-workshared models as links
As for the room name and room number...If you have checked the "Include Elements from Link" in the schedule the the furniture, their room number and room name should show in schedule if the furniture is aware of the room it is placed in.

Another thing to check is the level which the furniture is hosted on and that which the Room is on
If the room base is at the FFL level while the calculation point is disabled and the furniture is hosted on the Top of Slab Level , the Furniture would be considered outside the room
ie: you would then solve it as follows

Hi,
I tried using that button and this is what appears after. The Type Marks are showing up but the room: Number is still not. It should be associated with the chairs for example.
I am attaching another screenshot.
Thanks,
Did you read the above 2 replies? The Include elements from link is for your client when they link the file...you first need to make sure that the furniture schedule correct
