I'm wondering if there is a way to make a family part of the project model. I know this is an unusual workflow request and typically I would never want to do this but I have my reasons in this instance. Please reply if you need further clarification!

Edit the family, copy the geometry, go back to project, create a model in place family, paste.
I would export the family as .SAT and import back straight into the model and Revit will assign automatically to a Generic model
Placing it in an In-place component would be optional but not necessary

Thanks to you both. Both are good options. On another note I'm having problems exporting to FBX. It keeps freezing at 53% I tried simplifying the model by making the walls one layer and what not but still having the same issue. DO you guys have any advice?

The whole model. Not a huge file but I guess it's too heavy? I export to fbx to go to other software like Unity. I'm a metaverse builder in my spare time.

Do you have 3ds max? You can open Revit with Max and then export it as FBX
