Room's lower offset is above the Computation Height I cannot adjust and my room area is not the correct area because of line separations on the plan how to eliminate this.

Hi

1. Just Reset the base offset of that room to " Zero " that should fix the problem

2. If you really dont want to change that offset, then Create a new " LEVEL" flushed with

on finished floor slab ( base of room you require ), place a " ROOM " in a new floor plan create

by the new LEVEL.. ( Rooms are associated with Levels), and here you can have

base offset Zero..

give it a try..

hi, i followed your suggestion set base offset to 0 and create a new level and still doesn't work, any reason why there is gap of my area in plan and section and cannot adjust limits.

that gap ( rectangle ) is because of WALL coming up from Level Below..

you need to adjust those walls..

hello, how im going to adjust those wall it suppose to be there and how i'm going to adjust the limit with affecting the walls and no more gap.

new level.JPGYou need to create a new level ex Level 1a, and go to Plan 1a, create a room there so that that new room

is assocaited with Level1a and not Level 1

as long as you follow that, the walls below, in this case from Ground Floor, can go up to bottom of the floor

( considering floor thickness 200mm, then

Wall heights would be

from Ground Floor to Level 1a, upper offset ( -200mm )

Try selecting the level and then change the computation height. Also I wouldn't use room boundary line. I would use curtainwall instead and then change the panel to empty panel. That way you can span the room boundary beyond multiple levels.

hi,  now my issue is how to remove those gap (walls without adjusting it) it will affect my total area. just ignore those adjust limit. i tried to lower those walls and looks okey no more gap but i need to maintained  those walls to their actual height.

Do one test to understand how room computation and room works..

1. create simple four walls... base offset ( Zero ), height ( 2000mm)

2. Place a room , you will get a room, you can tag that..

3. now select one of the walls, and change the baseoffset to 50mm...

let me know what you get?

Hi

Walls are room bounding... whereever they occur they act/divide rooms.

so if walls from lower floor are popping up on upper level, they are going

to sub-divide upper rooms, cause in 3D they are penetrating on upper Room..

solution is to avoid any Walls to get into that upper room..

1. one way is to lower them

2. second is to make them " non room bounding"

3. Create a new floor plan Ex Level 1a, which is flushed with TOP surface of the floor,

4. the problem you are facing is cause the " LEVEL "  which you are using for floor plan is

cutting throught the Rooms below... ( check your section ),

5. another solution is to select the level and change the " Computational height " its Zero by default.. make it

atleast 500mm or 1000mm , this should solve the problem as well..

That solves the problem!!!

I solved this by revealing rooms in section and turning off room bounding on section. It works if you are not using room volume for and BIM coordination. Also the view range (of the floor below the room) cut is below bottom of the room. Otherwise you will overlap views of the rooms in that plan. Not perfect solution but it works for plan views if that is all you need the rooms for.
