Room not wrapping around column

Dear Revit user community,

the project I am working on has columns placed close to the facade. When rooms are placed, they don't wrap around the column. A gap as shown in the screenshot is the result. Due to this, a small part of the area is left unconsidered.

How can this issue be solved?

are you referring to the ares left behind the round column? are there any "supports" from the column to the wall that could be blocking the room from warping around it?

all the revit links are set to non-room-bounding in this model.

There are only "rooms" and "room separation lines" in this model.

I don't understand why you can't work around this issue by referencing Room Separation Lines instead of Room Bounding Elements.

Hi, I am not using any room-bounding elements.

My model only contains room separation lines and rooms. I will only be handing in a model with rooms/ room separation lines.

Are you saying that the first screenshot you posted shows the result of creating a Room using Room Separation Lines ONLY?

yes...the plan you see in the background is just for visual reference.

Use a polygon instead of a circle.

Revit room calculations have some limit when dimensions are less than a certain value, 275 mm or something in that range.

Is there any way to tweak this range? It seems to be a fairly large number.

Draw a room separation line connecting the column and the exterior boundary.

Thanks for the suggestion, however that doesnt help in corner situations.

Total Room Area not substracting Columns - ((# of Columns)*(pi()*(Radius if each Column)^2))  = Dead on Ballz Accurate Room Area.

this works as long as you have a certain distance between the wall and the column (line drawn needs to have a certain length).
