Room Finish options

Hi Community

I want to create a room finishes plan where I can show the different finishes in the different rooms based on their function like offices, meeting rooms, etc. But I also want to be able to have different options for each room so client can choose for example for the offices between painted gyps or wall paper or panel cladding...etc how can I do that?

Thanks for the reply and the links. That seems similar to what I want to do. SO I create this key schedule and make for each category of rooms a key like OFF-Staff, OFF-Manager then I put finishes for each but how do I put this in the rooms?

You type then type in the key OFF-Staff in the regular room schedule. If you are using 2022 u can use shared parameters in room key schedules which will be the same ones in the room finish schedule

You can create several keys for such offices, ex: OFF-MGR 1, OFF-MGR 2... and so on

  • Either use them just as is and swap keys in the room schedule
  • Or create design options>>add rooms to the various DO>>>give the rooms of each design option a different Key

You can also check this different approach given in the solution on the following Link. It is a combination between room finish schedule and color scheme automated based on finish (more about visualization)
