i have a roof that after making some changes to the footprint said roof it disappeared in only one view (enlarged floor plan. I am able to see and select it in 3D, overall floor plan and other views. for some reason it does not appear to be there or it appears to be transparent in this particular view. i have checked the view template, VG overrides and those settings seem to be the same as the other views. not sure where to go from here.
How do you want it do be visible: as an underlay, or do you to want it within the view range? Both Underlay and View Range are on the View Properties.
it was visible before I made a change to the footprint. it was not an underlay. it was visible through the view range of the view. this roof is for the level/ floor below. so we should be seeing the roof since it is at the same height as the floor of the view that I am in.
my apologies, I forgot to mention that as one of the items that I have tried as well. I turn on the "Reveal Hidden Elements" (lightbulb) and I do a crossing window for a selection to filter out the roof. when I open the filter there is no roof that was selected.
no phases. in the meantime I was comparing the view range bottom & view depth. in the good view they were both set to unlimited. in the bad view they were both set to associated level. the strange thing is, is that that was the same before this problem occurred. now my problem is that if I set the bad view to unlimited it shows the ground floor below in the bad view (enlarged plan). which I do not want to show.
But you said the roof is on the same level as the floor plan. So your cut plane would be intersecting both walls and roof; right?
...discipline?
....filter?
...Here's 33 things to check: https://www.revitforum.org/tutorials-tips-tricks/441-cant-see-view-heres-33-reasons-maybe-why.html
crop view?
crop region visible?
graphic display options?

Set the view range bottom to below the base of said roof and set the Floors + Roofs categories to non transparent.
It's been a while and I just wanted to follow up here, any progress on this issue?

First of all - remove the view template, see if that makes any difference.
It's often easier to delete and recreate the offending view.
