Revit2026 query

Hi,

I've been using Revit2026 so tonight, I decided to uninstall Revit2024 and Revit2025 but suddenly, I can't open Revit2026. I thought I just had some residual files that I missed from 24 and 25 so I did a sweep and uninstalled everything with Revit2024 and 2025 in the name, I also uninstalled 2026 and reinstalled it but it still won't open.

I'm in the middle of an assignment so I'm panicking. I thought I'd ask a quick question cuz I've tried everything I could but still can't fix it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Are you seeing any kind of error message?
Could you take a screenshot or screencast so I can see it?

Are you double clicking on the project file or first trying to open Revit?

And as @arq_42 , any messages or it just doesn't display anything?

Also look into process monitor, is Revit process running then force close it.

Any windows updates pending?

What OS, Windows 11?

No errors, it's just stuck on the little "initialising window". I left it loading last night before I went to sleep and it's still loading now.

I can help.

Rename the following folders by adding "-old" suffix:

C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Autodesk,_Inc

C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 2026

C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 2026

If no luck, then also this folder:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2026

Let me know if none works.
