Well, I guess you people are not able to read: today AD released a 2024.2 update, but the same update was released 3 weeks ago (as indicated in the links I gave), so I ask, again, what's the difference between 2024.2 released three weeks ago (november, 8th) and the update released today? Did the previous update have any bugs? Or, maybe, is there a typo, and the update released today is actually something like 2024.2.1?
Check in your account page....

I did read that in your post and asked you to site your source for today's release.
Either there was a problem with the previous release or today's "release" is mistaken? It's kind of hard to say without your reference.
Some customers experienced installation failures with the original release of the Revit 2024.2 Update so it was removed and replaced with a new version that addresses these installation failures. In product functionality was not changed in the new version of the update and the changes were limited to the install issue. Further details can be found in the first installation note in the release notes: https://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2024/ENU/?guid=RevitReleaseNotes_2024updates_2024_2_html.

Check your version: if its like this:
24.2.0.63
20231029_1515(x64)
2024.2.0
Then its still the same as couple weeks ago. So probably updated the page with things that were missing or typo as you mentioned.
