Revit Warnings not working at all

Hi,

For a couple of days, after updating Revit 2020.1 from my Autodesk Desktop App, I noticed that the warning messages no longer appear (at all, of any sorts) and neither the Warnings button on the Manage tab is not opening at all. It's like no action has been taken after I clicked that button.

At first I thought it was because of possible model errors. Opened the project in Audit mode. Nothing appeared like I didn't even opened it with Audit. No report of any sorts. After this I thought the software is the issue so, I went ahead and even reinstalled Revit. The problem persists.

Is there some problem in the model? I tried with other models/projects. Same issue.

Does anyone know what could be going on? You may guess that this makes the modelling almost impossible.

PS:

Saw a similar post on this, but it didn't work for me as the software was already updated.

same issue here since the update + I wasnt even able to open some 2019 files in 2020 - it would instantly freeze.

Thanks for sharing.

At least I know now that it's not something I did unknowingly.

I hope the Autodesk mates will catch on quickly about this bug. It's a nightmare working without these warnings... they are annoying sometimes, but now I came to appreciate them, haha.

I am in the same boat except for me it appeared after I installed the update "Revit InfraWorks Updater 2020.1".  If it wasn't that, then I had recently restarted my machine after a Windows 10 update. Either way, its funny how the box I always ignore and click okay without reading is now sorely missed.

Accepted solution

I was able to fix my missing warnings box by uninstalling the Revit InfraWorks Updater (there may be multiple, look for the most recent one) from the Program Uninstall (Apps & Features) in Windows. I would shy away from updating the Revit InfraWorks addon until Autodesk can patch it. Hope this helps!

User feedback and testing indicates that this issue is related to the Revit InfraWorks Updater 2020.1 add-in.  An updated version that includes a fix for this problem should be available in the near future.  Until then, the only known solution is to uninstall the Revit InfraWorks Updater 2020.1 add-in.

You may also use the new Revit 2020.2.5 hotfix update via the Desktop App.

This helped me in my situation.
