Revit Wall Join Issue: Cleaning Joins for Different Wall Types

Hello everyone,

I'm working on a project in Revit Architecture and am running into a persistent issue with wall joins that I'm hoping someone can help me resolve. I need to completely the clean join between two specific walls that have different wall types.  I want the intersection to be a clean.

What I've Tried:

  1. I used the Wall Joins tool (Modify tab) and tried to change the join display from "Butt" or "Square Off" to a miter or a clean separation.

  2. I specifically clicked on the wall end and attempted to use the "Next" option within the Wall Joins tool.

  3. I checked the walls' "Structural Material Function" in the wall type properties to see if there was a conflict (e.g., setting both to "Structure").

I have attached the relevant Revit file for anyone who is willing to take a look and provide some guidance.
Thank you in advance for your time and expertise!

For them to completely cleanly join they have to be of the same material. They're currently not.

EDIT:

You can open visibility / graphics and use Cut line styles, set core clean up to no edge. I don't like it, always forget about it.
