Select Revit 2018

I'd suggest the latest and greatest; 2020.  2018 won't even be supported in another year.  2021 will probably be released in 6 months.  Your license will let you run the 3 latest versions.  As for whether or not your laptop meets system requirements, you can Google for that information.

I'm working in Dubai.

90% of our projects are in Revit 2017.

In this part of the real world, firms like to keep up with technology and use the latest and greatest. Suggesting older versions to anyone learning Revit is doing a disservice.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

That's okay. We have legacy projects in older versions as well.  That's not unusual.

BTW: "Real" concrete???  That's a curious adjective to use. Is there such a thing as "fake" concrete?

@barthbradleyprojects in the GCC/Mena region usually never finish as planned/scheduled. In that part of the world, which @m.shcheblykin  referred to as "Real World", anything between 1-3 years delay is very normal and a Project kicked off in 2017 and planned to finish in 2019 is most likely not going to be handed over before 2021...Hence, 90% of the projects are Legacy projects.

Use Revit 2018, with all the updates installed.  Not sure about your laptop specs, but you should be able to at least start your Revit journey.  Good luck!
