Revit to Autocad Conversion

Looking to know if a revit model/ revit file can be exported to AutoCad or can revit only export selected views or elevations etc

Yes it is possible, have a 3D View open, then Export to CAD

And just another thing on that. does this also export the sheet templates with it and if not how can I go about exporting a sheet template from revit to AutoCad

What do you mean by "Sheet Templates"? Revit will export your sheet view as @jay_colcombe showed, with or without bound reference files (I recommend without if at all possible 😊). Revit will not export a "Template" DWT file though.

I meant the sheets which Jay demonstrated there

Even better solution: give the person still using AutoCAD the rvt file and let them extract what exactly they need. that way you are not pre-selecting what will be included in the dwg, and you don't have the work 🙂
