I recently discovered that Revit Server 2021 is only compatible with Windows Server 2019. And Revit Server 2020 (and earlier versions) are only compatible with Windows Server 2012 R2.
This means we may have to run a Windows Server 2012 R2 for earlier versions of Revit Server, and a separate Windows Server 2019 for Revit Server 2021 and later. Is this accurate? Or is there something I'm missing?
Thanks!

no idea where you read this pulled from the system requirements for 2021:

system requirements are here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/System-requirements-for-Autodesk-Revit-2021-products.html

Thanks for the information! Our network solutions specialist has been unable to install Revit Server 2021 on Windows Server 2012 R2. After contacting an Autodesk representative, we were informed that it was a compatibility issue, and to try Windows Server 2019.
Your IT people might need to double check that they've met all the prerequisites:
Hello,
Same issue. Trying to Install Revit Server 2021 onto Windows Server 2012 R2.
Keep getting 'please check system requirements'.
Server is VM (VMware) I've looked and checked and updated the requirements. .NET, IIS, Disk, Memory etc but no joy.
Is there a log file that might point me in the right direction for why i'm not meeting system requirements?
Downloaded full fat media from portal and extracting directly on server.
Thanks,
Leo.
