Revit Section Annotation

This maybe a newbie question but I'm having trouble getting my section annotation to show in my sheet. All I get is the default dash (as seen in the pic). Any help would be appreciated.

I can't see the pic you speak of, but if you are talking about the dashes in the section marker in say a floor plan, the reason they are dashes is because the section in question, has not yet been placed on a sheet. Therefore Revit cannot fill in the data in the section reference.

Place the view on a sheet and it will update.

hope it helps.

Hello KenQuinn8019

As damo3 said: "the reason they are dashes is because the section in question, has not yet been placed on a sheet. Therefore Revit cannot fill in the data in the section reference."

I recommend you to take a look at this video.

Create sheet view
