Revit Room Numbering Phase Issues

We are working on a renovation project that is split between 4 phases in Revit 2015.  We received the room numbering system from our client while in our second phase, which we then implemented into our model.  I am attempting to copy and paste about +350 of these rooms into our other 3 phases while maintaining the exact room numbers.  I've been on different forums where they state that the room numbers should remain the same, however, Revit is renumbering all of my rooms when I copy paste them.  I've tried several methods already, all which fail.  I'm out of options and very frustrated.

If that Phase had Rooms of the same numbers them Revit will renumber the pasted Rooms, even after you already deleted the old Rooms. What you need to do is go to the Room schedule of that Phase, and delete all the Not Placed rows from the schedule. When done you can paste Rooms from another Phase and the numbers will retain.

That's exactly the issue we had.  Turns out, our schedule had the "not placed" rooms hidden and once those were deleted out the room copy paste worked as needed.  Thanks!
