Revit Room Inter-connectivity

Other than Global Parameters, are there any ways to connect the parameter values of Revit Rooms with let's say Parking? The client requires us to link the Parking families to the Apartment Units (Rooms) it's serving. Any changes to the Apartment Number should automatically change the Parking number. They wanted to automate the process due to the quantity of the Apartment Units in the project (500++). They would also like to make the parking number flexible to changes like "Apartment with Parking provision" into an "Apartment without Parking provision" (I'm thinking of incorporating a Yes/No parameter on this)

The first thing that comes to mi mind that could help you is Dynamo, It doesnt seems that complicated.

Im not sure if revit has a tool to do that kind of task

Good luck!

There are Room Aware Families in Revit (Room Calculation Point).  Maybe there's a way for you to use this for what you are trying to achieve?  Just a thought.

Hi,

Thank you for replying on my query. Room Calculation point are only effective if the family is inside the Revit room but in our case the Parking families are located on the Basement level while the Apartments are in the above ground levels.

Hi,

That is something that we're exploring now. Hopefully it can give us some light about new process that we can do to automate this kind of data interconnection.

I was just entertaining a possible workaround using Room Awareness.  Obviously, it isn't literally purposed for that, but a lot of my workarounds re-purpose Revit tools used for other things.  I was just a thought.
