Revit Rendering Plug-in

Hi,

Would anyone know which plug-ins are best for rendering in Revit?

Also, after rendering a project in Revit is it necessary to edit/perfect the images using other programs like PhotoShop, InDesign, and Illustrator?

I'd appreciate anyone who can help. Thank you!

Why a third-party plug-in at all? You can render locally or to the cloud.

Because I tried doing it locally and in the cloud, but it's not as clear and realistic as images produced with third-party plugins. Except if I didn't use the Rendering feature/tool correctly...? I am kinda new to Revit so that'd make sense...

There are several. However it depends on what render engine you want. There are traditional raytracing rendering like v-ray and there are live rendering like twinmotion, enscape, & lumion.

They all have advantages and disadvantages. It really depends on your workflow and use the tools that work best for you.

Thanks @syman2000! And which one of all those do you recommend?

Easiest to get into is enscape because it has built in VR which allows you to do quick VR with oculus. Enscape read Revit material and light. So whatever setup in Revit will render in Enscape. It has one click button which gives you preview button while you quickly change the revit model.

However Twin motion and lumion are more customizable with weather, animation, lighting, wall effect & spark effects which Enscape lack. Both twin motion and lumion work independently outside of revit where Enscape work side by side with Revit.

As for v-ray plugin, I haven't use it but I heard it is great if you into the traditional rendering engine. However you have to wait for hours or overnight to get the rendering quality you want.

Enscape - best for quality-to-effort ratio

Lumion - best in terms of vegetation assets

MyArchitectAI - best AI render

V-Ray - best for pixel-perfect high-end renders
