Revit Railing question

I have been using Revit since version 8.1 and I still do not have a great grasp on the railing system. I have a custom chainlink fence balluster panel family that I created and I keep getting weird results at corners and ends. I am wondering if this is a correctable issue or not and if it is, how can I best solve it?

I can share files if it makes it easier to diagnose.

TIA

@jquarry

The fixed length (6') of the guardrail infill is projecting past the corner posts and Revit does not know how to cut the panels.

A similar problem and solution can be found in the discussion below:

Glass Baluster

This said, as your 3d representation is very simple, I would suggest you replace the fixed length guard rail panels by a rail extrusion profile with the width and material of your current panels and for each height of fence, adjust the profile to have the required height between the bottom and top rails. This way, the infill will turn corners and follow the slope of the terrain.

Hope this helps,

Thanks for your input.

That makes sense. I was just hoping there was a setting that I didn't fully understand that would automatically fix it. Unfortunately, it seems that is not the case. I will try your idea sometime soon just to see what its pros and cons might be.

BTW< I think the original posters question in that previous old thread you mentioned has been fixed without the need for the end post to be a custom balluster panel of the gap size by just using the "center" justification option.

Thanks again
