Revit Qusdro or Gtx

revit as other autodesk software want nvidia quadro. but if i should use revit live a gtx. confusion. how many PCs should I buy? gtx work, yes or no, with revit and others?

GTX will work. in the future or already today? so is gtx 1080 advisable? it is said that Quadro is more accurate in rendering. but gtx is less precise, does it mean quality or can crash?

There are a lot of people here who are working with gtx graphics cards.

I am quite sure gtx will be a good enough.

What kind of work are you doing?

Revit and revit live. Revit live suggests the use of oculus and vive. when i test for my pc, oculus recommends gtx. oculus seems to want a lot of video ram. how can autodesk advise the use of oculus that wants gtx. Not everyone can buy two notebooks 😊

Quadro for revit live and oculus. But I think is better gtx. But I hope gtx don’t give me problem or crash. I don’t understand the quality of Quadro vs Gtx

To keep it simple let's say that it's a driver thing.

Quadro's have better drivers.

Not quite - better to say it's a "math thing".  However the graphic card isn't used for "math" for Revit and Revit Live, so it doesn't matter.

For revit no. But if I want to continue in revit Live and Oculus and Unreal Engine 4, it is very important.

Again, what is the specific Quadro card that you want to compare?  There are tons of them and they aren't created equal.  They can range from a few hundreds to 7-8 thousands dollars.  A GTX-1080 Ti is about  a tenth of a top Quadro.  Is it going to 10% the performance?  I don't think so.

Unreal is a game engine.

GTX is a gaming card.

If unreal is that important for you.

Go for the gtx.

Since you don't say what GTX you have in mind I think I can recommend a GTX1080 SLI.

We did many tests with Revit and different VR workflows over the last couple of months, which is, what I'm assuming you're after since you mentioned Live and Unreal.

We have so far tested laptops/desktops with GTX 1050,1060,1070,1080 and 1080Ti with Oculus, Vive, Daydream and just for the last two days the Samsung Odyssey for MS MR. Here's my summary: Stay away from the 1050s, the 1060s are OK, the 1070s are good, the 1080 is great and the 1080Ti screams. We have tested them with Revit Live, Unreal, Enscape, Twinmotion and Lumion (7.5). I cannot tell you anything about the Q cards but the GTX 1070 and above work really well.
